COMPATIBILITY
The Astra Jib is available in three lengths: 4ft, 8ft & 12ft. The load capacity is different for all three sizes (please check specifications).
The Camera Extension Plate allows you to mount any DSLR Video camera.
Astra offers you Dual mounting provision; mount it directly on a jib stand or use a fluid head, whichever suits you best.
LCD mounting arm allows adding your monitor quickly to view live footage.
Weights can be easily added for counterbalance.

    The camera plate on the Proaim Astra 12ft Camera Jib Crane is capable of upward and downward movement of up to 45 degrees.

  • ASTRA 8FT - I need more precise data regarding the dimensions. Not only the total length of the arm, but the length of the arm from the axis of the stand is important (we work in the operating room).

    we do not recommend extending the length of the Proaim Astra 8ft Camera Jib Crane (JB-AS08-00) using additional extension pieces so as to avoid any compatibility issues.

Proaim Astra Camera Jib Crane 12 Feet

Unimportant things about the Astra Crane : fast shipping and very well packed up. Thanks Proaim. Well, the Camera Crane is very at the budget but the parts fit tight and it is sturdy enough to get into work with it. I got mine without the tripod because I've got a very sturdy one and manufactured an adaptor for the tripod and the Astra CJC. What gives you an extra is the possibility to use it as 8ft and 12ft as well. Well balanced it'll do the job at a good and smooth quality without shaking at the end of the crane move. Another extra is the possibility to tilt the camera while moving, using the handle. All in all I was searching for a low priced solution and I found it in the Proaim Astra Camera Jib Crane 8/12ft which is manufactured in surprisingly good quality and a good step away from low budged. It'll lift your videos immidiatly to another level. I give 5 stars because of customer service and the product are at a very good level. It is the second Proaim product I purchased and again I'm happy with it.

Proaim Astra Camera Jib Crane

The product fills a gap in the market. Where a crane has to be used once, rarely or "stationary" for video recordings (in our case operating room) one does not want to buy an expensive accessory. The construction is very simple, cleanly manufactured and price-performance ratio is absolutely right. A simple tripod extension (for working over the heads of the doctors) would be very desirable as an option.
