What is the best way to attach this with old school news ENG camera and a DJI Ronin 2 ?

If your camera is properly balanced with the Ronin 2 gimbal then yes, this setup will work with the master flowline. Please note the weight capacity of the master flowline is 4 to 12kg so your camera setup weight should be under it.

You can make the easy & instant setup by holding the handlebar with the Flowline's Hook. Also, if using the ring of Ronin 2, then you can use it by holding it from the side.
Can the cable adjust length while in use or do I have to reposition the length and lock it off to a new length?

You cannot adjust the length in the inbuilt setup, you have to remove the rope from the camera hook and set it as per requirement.
Hence, when the setup is in place, you can use the knob on the backside to balance the payload you are applying.
Is the placid already attached or does it need to be assembled after delivery?

Yes, the placid is already attached.
